None of us can ever forget the role of ‘Chappani’ in ‘Pathinaru Vayathinile’ directed by Barathirajaa or the ‘Mayilu’ role played by Sri Devi in the film. ‘Bheemaa’s hero Vikram too has been addicted by the all-too-natural scenes of ‘Pathinaru Vayathinile’.

It was a role Kamal Haasan had done to perfection. Vikram has said he loved way the story travels and the unexpected ending, Sri Devi’s performance and Rajini’s character in the film.

Vikram says he felt very nice as a city-bred boy to see this totally village-bound film. The actor reveals he was so addicted to the film that he used to buy cassettes that had the dialogues of ‘Pathinaru Vayathinile’ and by-heart the dialogues verbatim.

Vikram still remembers the dialogues and says while he was watching a Malayalam film he came across the same dialogues and was immediately able to identify that it was taken from ‘Pathinaru Vayathinile’, one of his ‘most’ favorite films till date.

But there is one film of Vikram that he hates the most and he does not shy away from revealing which one it is. He is talking about ‘Vinnukum Mannukum’.

Vikram says he started having arguments with the director right from the first shot which continued till the end of the film. He also says that the director made him wear all weird colored clothes and made him look like a flower!

The actor says he finally gave up in to the director’s choice because, he says, when we put on the garb of a dog we have to wag the tail!
